INFO:A boy is seen throwing a heavy cushioned seat in a viral video on 1st March. The incident occurred at Westfield shopping centre Stratford, a community neighbourhood of Newham.
It was reported to police on 3rd March and two 14 and 16-year-old boys were taken into police custody on suspicion of criminal damage, potentially harming the shopping centre property and the peaceful shoppers below. The investigations are still going on.
The Newham MPS shared a statement on X, saying: “This was a serious incident and we would encourage anyone who may have further information to contact the police.
